We have a client looking to hire a Cyber Security Specialist in Mobile, AL.

As an Information Assurance / Cyber Security Specialist you will be required to implement, monitor, and support the overall security strategy for this maritime company, to ensure all computer systems and networks are operating securely and data is protected from both internal and external threats.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure conformance with all information security agreements and policies
  • Oversee the integration between on premise systems with cloud services and supports a cloud adoption practice.
  • Coordinate security incident response
  • Develop and maintain Security Incident Reporting and Breach Notification Plan
  • Develop, update, and maintain corporate IT security policies and procedures.
  • Contribute towards the overall disaster recovery and business continuity practice.
  • Perform technical security reviews and network analysis to include scanning, testing, and auditing to determine third party system vulnerability using established procedures and toolsets.
  • Conduct testing, product evaluations, and audit log reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures and recommend products, technologies and upgrades to improve company’s security posture to minimize risk.
  • Provides reports and/or answers questionnaires in response to queries and requests for computer security information from current and potential clients.
  • Vet potential vendors and services to ensure compliance with corporate security practice
  • Identify and categorize sensitive data, ensure no stale, unauthorized, and non-compliant data.
  • Support litigation through e-discovery.
  • Involved in integrating, supporting, and monitoring systems used to enforce and monitor controls across corporate systems and networks.
  • Responsible for designing and implementing solutions for protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of sensitive information
  • Investigate computer misuse and security violations and recommend solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience of cyber security / information assurance experience
  • Security+, CISSP, CISA, CISM and/or GIAC certification (s) preferred
  • Experience working with system/network Vulnerability Tools, Application White listing, Anti-Virus, Event Monitoring, Incident Response, and Patching
  • Experience in developing, implementing and reviewing documentation, including security policies, standards, guidelines, work instructions and compliance documentation
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Must have excellent strategic planning and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
  • Must be highly disciplined, self-starter, and leader with the ability to execute on assignments independently, and effectively communicate expectations for all programs/projects being managed.
  • Must have good organization, presentation and exceptional time management skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to interact with individuals from all levels of the organization.

The Location:  The position will be located in Mobile, AL.  No remote candidates however relocation allowance may be available.
